Definition of Orbit

An orbit is a journey of a sphere in the universe around another planet, star, or moon. Our own solar system orbits around the Sun, and our own Moon orbits around planet Earth. Different heavenly bodies have orbits of different lengths, with the Moon taking approximately 29 days to orbit the Earth, but Pluto taking almost 250 years to orbit the Sun! An astrologer calculates the orbit of a planet, star, moon, or asteroid when interpreting any astrology chart.
