Two Tarot cards from the Astrology Answers Master Tarot Deck are placed on a wooden surface representing the October 2020 Tarotscope cards. The 10 of Pentacles sits on top of it, signifying the 10th month.

Spooky season has crept up on us faster than you can say “boo,” and it’s already time to peek at your Tarotscope for October 2021.

And what’s lurking around the corner for October? Well, romantic and harmonic Libra season will dominate for most of the month, with passionate and transformative Scorpio season picking up for the finish line.

And that’s quite an interesting mix of energies if we do say so ourselves!

Whether or not you’re interested in what’s going on astrologically, it’s time to check up on a more personalized report on what may transpire for you in the month ahead – that’s when we consult the Tarot.

We’ll be pulling one card each from the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana to get just the right amount of insight on what’s going down for your zodiac sign.

Your October 2021 Tarotscope

The Moon & 8 of Cups

Changes are afoot for the firestarter ram.

The Moon lays a foggy forecast over your October, leading the way with mystery and intrigue. You may feel like suddenly everything is unclear, and you no longer have all the answers.

By the end of the month, it looks like you’ll be ready to leave something behind, however. The 8 of Cups indicates that you’re hitting the road in some regard, more sure that you’re ready to move onto greener pastures.

In other words, although the light of The Moon may seem ominous at first, it’s here to illuminate everything that’s no longer clicking for you, Aries.

Death (Reversed) & Page of Swords (Reversed)

While September was quite a busy time for our Taurus friends, October is all about slowing down.

Death reversed puts a halt to changes that you may have been wanting to implement. While this card is usually a harbinger for transformation while upright, its reversal indicates that changes are not something necessary for Taurus quite yet. (After all, you’ve already been through quite a few).

Equally, the Page of Swords reversed cautions against fast-paced decisions or jumping too quickly at something shiny and new. In fact, you may run into trouble if you find yourself speaking before you think or initiating something based on impulse.

This month is a time of slowing down and smelling the roses. Don’t let haste get in your way of enjoying the garden!

The Emperor (Reversed) & King of Pentacles

It’s time to take the lead and step forward into a place of authority, confidence, and strength for witty Gemini.

But there’s actually a right and a wrong way to go about it here, so listen up! With The Emperor reversed, now is not the time for stepping on others’ toes. The King of Pentacles hints that rather than exerting pure authority with bold statements and big promises, your actions will speak louder than words.

Right now, fortune favors a form of confidence and leadership that is down-to-earth, practical and grounded, and capable of laying out a clear plan. It’s not about a status symbol of prestige or victory, but showing, not telling, that you do know what you’re doing.

And with that attitude, success and abundance are yours for the taking!

Judgement (Reversed) & 3 of Pentacles (Reversed)

Are you hitting roadblocks? Don’t fret, gentle crab. The month ahead is a bit of a solo journey for Cancer.

Judgement reversed indicates that you may feel stagnant and stuck on the road this October, with your plans not quite leading to the outcomes you intended. There’s room for self-doubt and confusion because of this.

With the 3 of Pentacles reversed, you may also feel like it’s hard to reach out to others for advice or assistance. Perhaps everyone just seems busy too, or they’re unable to relate to your situation. That said, a small period of loneliness and stagnation is truly not the end of the world.

The key for October is remembering that most plans have some form of a road bump (and don’t be afraid to reach out to others for comfort and a confidence boost, even if you think they “won’t get it”).

The Magician (Reversed) & 7 of Swords

Take a pause before taking a step, Leo — not all is as it seems.

Last month you found yourself blessed by The Magician’s creative spirit, wanting to take brave steps forward even amidst emotional battles. This month, the same card is sitting in reversed position for you, perhaps as you are starting to let go of its energy and find something new to take on.

However, with the 7 of Swords, you’ll want to keep an eye on any opportunity, choice, person, or situation that isn’t quite as it seems. Some things may be sweet on the surface but sour on the inside. This includes your own endeavors, from creative works to conversations you wish to initiate.

In other words, make sure all your boxes are double-checked and trust your intuition if something seems amiss.

The Hanged Man (Reversed) & 10 of Pentacles

The time for contemplation is over. It’s game time for Virgo.

The Hanged Man is sweet, but it’s not what Virgo is seeking this month. Its energy of pause and reflection is something that you already know and appreciate well due to your deep inner stirrings from the months before. Reversed, it now hints you’re ready to say goodbye to those times of quiet.

The real prize is here: the 10 of Pentacles. You know what you want, and you’re more assured in going after it, game plan and all. Sitting in your home turf of the suit of Earth, you’re more than ready to access its sweet boons.

Keep your eye on the prize, and don’t lose sight of what you’re aiming for, Virgo. You’re more than equipped to go get it now!

The Lovers (Reversed) & 4 of Swords (Reversed)

Libras may have been feeling some heat lately, even in the home turf of your reigning zodiac season.

The Lovers reversed points to trouble in paradise, possibly feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or outright dissatisfied with the choices you have and any of your interpersonal connections at bay. (Thanks, Mercury retrograde).

And if that wasn’t clear enough, the 4 of Swords reversed is a major red flag to the fact that Libras may have already been experiencing burnout for quite some time, and the time for rest is overdue.

One word: resources. It’s time to replenish yours. Take some time off, and let your social and energetic battery recharge, Libra.

The Sun (Reversed) & Knight of Wands

Where there is Fire, there is passion and joy — although you seem to be lacking the latter part this month, Scorpio.

Indeed, you are charging forth with the force of Fire in all its glory in the form of the Knight of Wands this October. With a plethora of charisma and a whole lot of energy, it seems that you’re ready to face the world in all areas that you wish to pursue.

There’s just one thing: The Sun reversed. It’s one thing to go after what you want with enthusiasm and ferocity, but don’t forget to have fun, too.

After all, that Scorpio intensity of yours can make you a force to be reckoned with when it comes to your goals and aspirations, but you don’t need to rain on your own parade in order to do so.

Wheel of Fortune & 10 of Swords

September was a harsh month for Sagittarius, with emotional and mental difficulties and turmoils to boot.

Rest assured, the payoff is here. The 10 of Swords may seem harsh, but it is a fitting finale to what you’ve experienced so far. As the end of the suit of tragedy and difficulty, it signals that many chapters are now finally coming to a close.

To top it off, we have another 10 in the form of the Wheel of Fortune — this one with a sweeter tone. This card of fortune asks that you have faith that the Universe is carrying you to the right place and that luck truly is on your side this time.

Take a huge exhale, wild archer. This journey is over, and the path is easing up.

The Hermit & 9 of Cups

Rewards are on the horizon for the wise goat, but you have to go within to recognize them first.

The 9 of Cups is always a welcome sight, being the “wish card” that fulfills hefty promises. It’s a great sign that much of what you want is in sight and on the horizon, Capricorn, and it’s time to make the moves necessary to truly go after your heart’s desire.

However, The Hermit quickly clarifies that this is likely a solo journey, and second, you’re not getting away with those rewards without some heavy thinking and contemplation. Chances are, the road to that 9 of Cups moment is accessible to you, but the key to opening its door is in your mind, heart, and intuition.

In other words, you’ll need to trust in your own instincts so that you can access what is rightfully yours.

Strength & Page of Cups

With a sweet and harmonic energy afoot, it seems like Aquarius has quite a lovely month ahead.

Strength indicates that you’re finding your footing with balance and inner fortitude this month. You’ll be working on finding trust and understanding within, nurturing all parts of yourself — mind, body, spirit — to get a nice flow of real strength pumping within your veins.

Some of this may come through plenty of meditation, art, and intuitive play. The Page of Cups is soft and open-minded, available to exploring vast seas of affection, creativity, and spirituality.

With this combo, you’re in for a sweet month of fruitful spiritual and creative pursuits, creating an even stronger bond with your sense of self-love.

The Star & King of Cups (Reversed)

Enter new beginnings and much beloved internal reflection.

The Star shines upon our fishy friends with a tender embrace, ushering in a time of healing, readying yourself for new paths, and perhaps a spiritual or creative pursuit or two. With this loving energy on the table, trust that you’re being taken care of here!

“But what work do I have to do?” you may wonder. Well, the King of Cups’s prowess and leadership surrounding matters of the heart and intuition is flipped upside-down here. In other words, in this case, we can interpret its energy as going inwards — meaning you’ll be using those skills to help yourself, not others, this time.

The task at hand for Pisces is to take care of yourselves and retain some faith and trust in the hands of the Universe to take you to a place of healing.

Owning Your October

If there’s one key to using your Tarotscope, it’s just that: it’s yours to use!

Even in a time where it may feel like spooky season leaves everything up in the air and there’s much still unknown, your Tarotscope is a tool for you to use to your advantage.

If you see something in your Tarotscope that gives you the heebie-jeebies, you’re now more equipped to avoid that outcome. If you see something in your Tarotscope that foretold blessings and gifts galore, you now know what goals to keep up in order to claim them.

Either way, owning your Tarotscope is one step to owning this October. How will you be using it to your advantage this month?
