Beneficial Thought: What Abundance Really Means

A bag of gold representing abundance.

What abundance really means. We’ve been talking all month long about planting the seeds of intentions this month, in your efforts to grow beautiful spiritual blossoms. Plant the seeds, water the garden, weed out the toxic things that could strangle and suffocate any growth, and then what? Then, it’s time for harvest. In Canada, Thanksgiving is just around the corner. And in America, the harvest is a little bit later, so Thanksgiving is a little bit farther away.

It’s a New Season, a New Day

But the season of Fall has officially begun. The leaves have turned, and some are even beginning to show the first signs of decay by gently fluttering to the ground. Now what? Now, it’s time to harvest the rest of the garden. Now, it’s abundantance time.

The tomatoes, the squash, the pumpkins, the corn, and the chrysanthemums. What are the tomatoes and pumpkins of your spiritual garden? What abundance are you ready to harvest right now? What abundance of life are you hoping to bring to the table this Thanksgiving? When it’s your turn to say what you are thankful for, what is your answer going to be? What do you want it to be?

You may need to wait some things out yet, as for many farmers, it’s not quite harvesting time yet. September was a slow-moving month spiritually with Mercury retrograde and eclipse season in play. Virgo, one of the zodiac gardeners, is also in play this month, and this is also slowing down all of our efforts, intentionally. Maybe all of your spiritual “vegetables” or blossoms have not fully ripened or opened yet. And that’s okay. You can still prepare for that abundance, by getting in the mindset of abundance.

What Are You Bringing To The Table?

That’s what the season of Thanksgiving is all about. Taking a moment, after a wild season of growth, storms, predators, and threats, and being grateful for everything that we have been able to bring to the table. What are you bringing to the table this Thanksgiving? What spiritual blessings are you hoping to be grateful for?

The answer to that question is the answer to your abundance. There’s no wrong answer. You are allowed to want what you want. That’s the beautiful thing about abundance….no matter how wealthy anybody in this world gets, no matter how much love one person has, no matter how famous somebody gets or how successful they are, there’s still more to go around. For everyone. That’s why it is called abundance.

It’s been a tough season on the spiritual garden. There have been some storms, some dry weather threatening your “crops”, and some very big fires that threatened to destroy everything. There have been some unknown weeds tempting suffocation and decay. There may even have been some predators, feeding off of your soul, trying to get the goodness that is within you….because they are starving. The life path of the predator is not your problem. Keep working on your garden anyway.

If you have experienced any or all of these things this month, and are still here to tell the story, give yourself a pat on the back. Sometimes just surviving is a gift of abundance itself. But if you want more, and you’re allowed to want more, then you need to keep tending that garden. That’s what abundance really means.
