There are 4 elements that rule the 12 Zodiac signs: fire, water, earth, and air

The term Earth sign is an Astrology term that refers to the series of Zodiac signs ruled by the element of Earth:

These sign rule the 2nd, 6th, and 10th houses and are all negative polarities (or yin).

Earth signs are well-known for being extremely grounded, as they're and are rooted in practical matters, logic, integrity, and hard work. Generally, people born under this sign aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. They are real, down-to-earth, focused, and have a deep love for beauty (whether in material, natural, or energetic form).

While signs ruled by other elements (air, water, and fire) are very quick-moving, earth signs are not. If you want something done quickly, they may not be the ones to call. But if you want someone with a good work ethic in a reliable and responsible way, call your favorite Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn.

Earth signs are the foundation or building blocks of our society, while they act as the sturdy ground floor, they act upon their common drive, which is progress, perfection, and comfort. Some active examples are Capricorns working hard to achieve their dreams, Virgos planning their secure future, or Taurus’ building a safe and comfortable home.
