Definition of Medium
A medium is a special kind of psychic, who can communicate with spirit and with the souls of those who no longer walk this earth.
Some mediums use tools, such as tarot or crystal balls or other means for them to focus on getting a message. Like psychics, some mediums may or may not have special skills like clairvoyance, clairaudience, or clairsentience. Other mediums go into a trance and let the spirit of the departed speak directly through them; these are often called trance mediums.
Some mediums use automatic writing and produce messages from other realms. Yet other mediums use psychometry and hold an object that belonged to a deceased person in order to form a connection with that person.
In addition to communicating with the departed, some mediums also use their talents to read a person's past, present and their future.
TERM OF THE DAY
The word ouija is actually two words combined, the French and German words for yes, ‘oui,’ and ‘ja.’ Ouija is associated with the ouija board. This board has letters and numbers on it and those who consult the ouija board use either a planchette or a dowsing pendulum to spell out the spirit-guided answers to their questions. There is some disagreement as to whether the use of ouija boards is safe or not. They should never be used as a toy.Read the full Ouija definition
