Definition of Rune
A rune is a glyph of Germanic origin that can be used both as a letter of an alphabet as well as a magical sigil. There were many different versions of the runic alphabet, and most had a similarity running through them. Today it is the Elder Futhark that is most widely used, for both magical inscriptions and divination.
