Definition of Transit
An astrological transit refers to the physical path of a specific planet, in relation to another destination or with another planet in the Zodiac.
Since planets are in motion all of the time, they move through the Zodiac sign constellations in the sky. Some planets move slower and some move faster. Jupiter, for example, stays in one sign for a whole year, but Earth’s Moon travels through the entire zodiac in one month. A journey between two planets can also be a transit. So when Uranus is square Pluto, both planets share this transit.

As they move through the heavens in their elliptical orbit they form major aspects conjunct, opposition, square, trine, and sextile. The relationship to each other can be harmonious, dynamic, or neutral depending on their position.Read the full Aspect definition
