Beneficial Thought: Your April Retrograde Survival Guide

Posted on April 06, 2017

In April, we are entering a very active retrograde period, my friends. As it stands now, we currently have two planets doing the slow-motion back flip in retrograde position, and the astrology forecast for April has a whopping five planets going retrograde by the end of the month: Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Mercury, and Pluto!

There′s higher purpose for all of these retrogrades. So now is as good a time as any to review what each of these retrograde planets means in your day to day life, and why it′s actually a gift that you can use to take your life to the next level. Let′s get to it because April is a busy month!

Retrograde Review: What Does it all Mean?

First, a brief review on retrogrades. I always like to use the ‘re′ theme and a reminder to review and reinforce what retrogrades are, and why they are useful. Whenever a planet goes retrograde, no matter what planet that is, this is the call from the Universe to implement those themes:

  • Reflect
  • Remember
  • Review
  • Reinforce
  • Reconnect
  • Re-establish

When a planet is retrograde, it is in slow motion. It appears like it is going backwards, which is why blasts from the past are so common, and why reviewing what is in our rear view mirror is so effective during these periods. In April, five of the planets will go retrograde at some point.

Some of them will be the planets that are working om major events in your life, like Jupiter and Saturn. Others will be smaller retrograde cycles that will simply call on you to check in with yourself, make adjustments, and move forward. All retrograde periods are a gift. When you go into them with that perspective, they can actually be pretty exciting, and nothing to freak out over. Let′s have a look at each of these retrogrades individually.

As a Scorpio, I’m a natural empath, using my watery emotional side to bring you the astrology answers you need to find abundance. My favorite tools of choice are the stars, as it was my grandmother who first told me many moons ago that’s where all the answers were. And my Scorpio side favors writing as my medium of choice to express those answers. When I’m not pondering life’s big questions, it is my dream to one day be the crazy cat lady on my street.
