THE Most Important Transit of 2022: Jupiter Conjunct Neptune
Perhaps the most crucial aspect made in 2022 will be Jupiter conjunct or aligning with Neptune in Pisces on April 12th. It’s the only major aspect being made in 2022 between the slow-moving planets—Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
This aspect is especially nice because both are rulers of Pisces, with Jupiter being the traditional ruling planet and Neptune being the modern ruling planet. This aspect is dreamy and imaginative, and creative energy can surge, so it’s fantastic for any creative projects and ventures you want to embark on.
It’s also likely going to increase compassionate, empathetic energy, and we can come together more easily, be more understanding, and want to help. This can be a great time for helping others personally and really getting involved.
Boundaries do need to be held, though, as it’s easier for us to be taken advantage of with our good natures. Boundaries can be very healthy, and they can protect ourselves and others, so maintain them.
This Jupiter conjunct Neptune aspect is also very spiritual, so we’re all more likely to be in our spiritual zones. This can be helpful for connecting more to our spiritual selves; however, we do need to be mindful of being misled.
The fog energy can be huge too, and we’re more easily deceived. We need to make sure we have a solid connection to reality; otherwise, we get duped and don’t realize it until it’s too late.
Pisces is the sign of intuition, so intuitive energy can also be strong with this aspect. It can be a great time to connect to your intuitive self and learn to trust your instincts, and we all may find that we randomly have little glimpses of intuitive insight around this aspect.

Pisces also governs what is hidden, so we may find that we’re more comfortable doing things behind the scenes, preparing for a later date, or simply getting some more rest. We may also become aware of something that has been hidden from us until now.
And finally, Pisces is the very last sign of the zodiac, so it also rules endings, and this aspect can bring with it some important endings.
For better or worse? Well, that’s up to us!
The Most Important Transits for the First Half of 2022 by Month
Now let’s go into the most important transit for each month of the first half of 2022, so January through June, along with the zodiac signs. Jump in!
January: Venus Retrograde
The planet Venus is retrograde until January 29th in Capricorn, and this kind of dominates the first month of 2022. We’re questioning our goals and the path we’re on and uncertain about the direction we’re going in.
2022 has a LOT of second chance energy, and that is true to start the year with Venus retrograde. Focus on what you can give a second chance to, do over again, or revise.
February: Mercury Direct
Mercury retrograde ends on February 3rd, and this comes with Mercury conjunct Pluto in Capricorn. The Venus retrograde began with Venus conjunct Pluto in Capricorn, so we may see some ties to developments from mid-December to early February.
The Mercury direct can bring plenty of fighting over power and control, but the best way to use this energy is to transform some part of yourself or your life for the better. Dig deep and make it last.
Venus and Mars will both conjunct Pluto in early March, and that can close the books on whatever began in mid-December.
March: Venus Conjunct Mars
Venus and Mars both change zodiac signs on the same day, March 6th, moving from Capricorn to Aquarius and conjunction shortly after they both enter Aquarius. This can feel like we’re suddenly blessed with a whole new outlook, and we’re focused a lot more on the future.
Venus conjunct Mars is fantastic for creative energy, and we can see this really surge. Focus on creative projects and hobbies, and try to enjoy yourself.
Venus and Mars are also great for love and dating, and passionate energy is sure to peak. But, Aquarius isn’t really known for being the most passionate sign, so passionate energy may come out in new, unconventional, different ways than normal for you with your romantic partner.
April: Pisces Stellium
We already covered Jupiter conjunct Neptune in April 2022, but Mars is going to enter Pisces on April 14th, and this puts us in a Pisces stellium until May 10th. A stellium occurs when three or more planets are together in the same zodiac sign—expect strong concentrated energy.
This Pisces stellium just amplifies the impact that I outlined for Jupiter conjunct Neptune. So that energy isn’t only present around when Jupiter and Neptune conjunct but is actually sticking around for about a month. Make use of imagination, creativity, compassion, and intuition.
May: Retrograde + Eclipse Season
Mercury retrograde begins on May 10th, starting in Gemini and moving into Taurus on May 22nd. We’ve also got our first set of eclipses in 2022, with a Solar eclipse in Taurus on April 30th and a Lunar eclipse in Scorpio on May 16th.
Retrograde + eclipse season tends to be super active and potentially super wonky, and this one brings great energy for second chances but also great emotional energy that needs to be managed.
Jupiter also changes signs on the same day Mercury retrograde begins, March 10th, moving from Pisces to Aries. There is potential for some sort of really big change around that date.

June: Mars + Jupiter in Aries
Technically, both Mars and Jupiter enter Aries in May, with Jupiter in Aries starting on May 10th and Mars entering Aries on May 24th, and they conjunct on May 29th, but Mercury is retrograde at that time until June 3rd, so we’re likely not feeling the great energy of Mars and Jupiter in Aries until June.
Aries is the ruler of new beginnings, Mars is the natural ruling planet for Aries, and Jupiter expands. Put it all together, and this is amazing energy for a brand new beginning, a fresh start, a whole new chapter in your life, or a great new venture.
We’ll likely be full of energy and drive, ready to pounce the second we have the chance, and willing to take the initiative to make things happen. We’re coming out of the retrograde + eclipse season ready for action!
The Most Important Transits for the First Half of 2022 for the Zodiac Signs
Aries: Mars + Jupiter in Aries
We just covered this one! But the two are together in your zodiac sign, and this is your time to GO. Focus on what you want to get started with for yourself, and get ready for the massive energy you can access at that time.
Taurus: Mercury Retrograde in Taurus
Mercury retrogrades in your sign from May 22nd to June 3rd, and this is the first time in some years you’ll have to deal with it. You will have to deal with it again for another couple of years, so pay attention to it this time and what comes up. This may be a theme for you for the next 2-3 years.

Gemini: Mercury Retrograde in Gemini
Mercury retrogrades in your sign, Gemini, May 10th until the 22nd, and this is the last time for some years you’ll have to deal with your ruler retrograde in your sign, so you’re finally getting a break after this (with Mercury, anyway).
Think about the things that have come up over the last few years you’ve been dealing with and what you can close and finish now.
Cancer: The Eclipses
Since Cancer is ruled by the Moon, you’re more sensitive to the eclipses than the other signs are, so pay attention to the April 30rd Taurus Solar eclipse and the May 16th Scorpio Lunar eclipse. Both are actually at pleasant angles to your sign, so you may find they’re more helpful for you than usual.
Leo: Leo Full Moon
A Full Moon occurs in your sign, Leo, on February 16th, and this tends to be the time of year when you feel extra emotional, in need of support and encouragement, and you see how much progress you’ve made and what needs to change.
We’re out of all of the retrogrades that we start 2022 with by then, so you do have some helpful energy for moving forward quickly.
Check this out: The Ultimate Guide to Full Moons
Virgo: Virgo Full Moon
A Full Moon occurs in your sign, Virgo, on March 18th, and you can be a lot harder on yourself with Full Moons in your sign. You tend to take on extra work and put more on your shoulders, but this just adds to your stress.
Try to plan for a break instead, or at least not be afraid to ask for some help, so you’re not doing it all. The Pisces energy of this period does show you can get help if you ask for it.
Libra: Venus Retrograde
Venus is the natal ruler of Libra, so when Venus is retrograde, you tend to feel pretty out of balance. Venus is retrograde until January 29th, so you can start the year feeling off and need to go easy on yourself and on others.
Try to ground yourself and give yourself more emotional comfort and support.
Scorpio: Scorpio Lunar Eclipse
A Lunar eclipse occurs in your sign on May 16th, the first eclipse in your sign in many years, and this can be a time when you’re feeling the spotlight on you in a big way. This can be uncomfortable, and you may become aware of things that you need to work on, while also seeing progress with things you’ve been working on for a while.
Try to take a step back so you can see things more clearly either way.
Sagittarius: Jupiter Conjunct Neptune
Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius, so the conjunction with Neptune can be especially beneficial for you, and you can see the massive surge in Pisces energy in your life (super imaginative, intuitive, empathetic, etc.). But, you also may need to be extra mindful of the potential to be deceived or manipulated, so keep yourself grounded.
Capricorn: Mercury & Venus Retrograde in Capricorn
The year begins with Venus retrograde in your sign, and then Mercury retrogrades in your sign from January 25th to February 3rd. You can focus on the past, what you need to do again, what you need to clear out, and be a lot more introspective.
You may feel completely off at times, though, and want to snap, but try to focus on slowing things down and taking second chances.
Aquarius: Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius
Mercury retrogrades in your sign for the last time for some years, starting on January 14th until the 25th. You can tie up loose ends and finish up with developments that began a few years ago, which can help you move forward. That can help you really make a big push when Venus and Mars come together in your sign on March 6th.
Pisces: Jupiter Conjunct Neptune + Pisces Stellium
You get the best energy of them all! Jupiter and Neptune come together in your sign, and Mars joins them to create a stellium in your sign. This is amazing energy for starting anew, and you can push for new beginnings and growth.
Jupiter opens up even more possibilities for you, while Mars gives you the energy you need to make it happen.
