Beneficial Thought: Get Obsessed About Something the GOOD Way (Without Being Creepy)

Posted on October 12, 2017

We have officially landed in the season of Fall. The goals we have in mind right now might be freaking us out. We only have three months left in this year, and many are already worrying about what they have NOT accomplished.

At the same time, we have an abundance of energy from the Fixed Sign of the Water Signs, Scorpio, in play for almost two full months as we close out 2017. This is intense! It’s a global freak out time. Today we’re going to talk about how not to go to the not so happy place that is so common in this spook-tacular month, and into next month.

Scorpio and Autumn Equinox Are All About Transformations

Although the energy feels intense right now, the energy is actually priming you for change. When we feel intense, we have a tendency to go to the unhappy place. Both of the key energies present right now, the Autumn Equinox, and the Scorpio energy, are all about encouraging these positive transformations.

Cardinal Air Sign Libra is trying to balance some of this energy, and send you to a more peaceful place in your life. To pass the tests of this energy, you simply need to embrace the potential for change positively. Every change that happens now is a good one. Don’t worry about what you haven’t gotten done. Instead, focus on what you can get done.

With Scorpio energy in play, there’s only two ways to go when people freak out this time of year. Creepy, and, not as creepy. It’s why the suicide rate this time of year, until the end of the year, is so high, but it doesn’t have to be.

That’s Scorpio energy gone wrong. If you use Scorpio and Equinox energy the right way, you can accomplish some pretty darn good things. Big things even.

Scorpio in idea mode is a caterpillar. Scorpio in outcome mode is a butterfly. Scorpio is all about transformations. When something isn’t working in its current state, Scorpio just changes their current state. That’s why they’re so famous for the “you are dead to me” tagline.

Scorpio in obsessed paranoid jealous mode is the caterpillar that gets stuck in the jar. It might become a butterfly, but then what? It is stuck.

The energy of the Autumn Equinox is very similar, but more permanent than even Scorpio’s transformational power. The celebration of color in the fall is nature’s last hurrah before plants and trees and leaves can no longer sustain life. So, in their last act of transformation, they fall to the ground.

It’s a heavy work period in the physical world. Raking, harvesting, fall planting, mulching, and cleaning up the yard for the next phase or seasonal cycle. That’s the mindset you need when you are working on your next chapter too. Clear away what no longer can sustain life, and keep the slate clean for new growth.

3 Ways to Channel Scorpio Energy Like a Jedi

Every zodiac sign has a light side and a dark side or shadow side. The Fixed Water Sign Scorpio of course is no exception, but because they’re so intense, even their light side is intense. That’s not a bad thing. It IS a bad thing however if the shadow side gets stuck in the dark side.

When you channel Scorpio energy like a Jedi, and embrace the light, there’s nothing to freak out about. Use Scorpio energy for good, and productively, and you won’t have to worry about becoming the one in the crowd that is freaking everybody out with your intensity. Here are some mind behavior tips to do just that.

1. Let it go, no really.

The things that bother you the most should be let go. This is hard, especially for Scorpio. Scorpio as a Fixed Sign has a tendency to be obsessed and clingy. They don’t want to let go, but this can be a good thing. Use that energy to be clingy to your success, and not to what is NOT working out right in this moment.

Ask yourself what you are getting out of hanging onto this thing you don’t want to let go. The answer is most likely, “Nothing.” If it’s nothing, channel your inner Elsa and let it go.

2. Be obsessed about goals, not people.

The one area Scorpio gets the most tripped up over is what to be obsessed about. Scorpio has a tendency to get obsessed about people. This is the freak out zone. You want to stay out of the freak out zone. Instead of being obsessed about the person that isn’t calling you, or what have you, be obsessed about what you want instead.

Instead of focusing on the guy that you want, and being obsessed (nearing creepy) with him, instead, get obsessed about having the best relationship. Be attached to your goals, not people. Take charge of your destiny, like a Cardinal Sign. There’s plenty of that still in play right now with Libra. Be a goal digger. Not a gold digger.

3. “Marry” your success plan.

If you aren’t truly committed to your success, it isn’t going to happen. Wanting success, and being committed to it 100% are two different things. It’s not enough to just want it. You have to actually be committed to making it happen.

So, marry your success. Become married to that goal. In the traditional marriage vows we say, “For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health.” Make the vow to your SELF that you are going to stick to this success plan, no matter what. In sickness and health, richer or poorer, and for better or worse. No matter what.

Don’t “cheat” on yourself and become distracted by chaos and confusion. Stick to your success plan, no matter what. Make the vow to do that today.

Concluding thoughts…

In this time of year, it’s very easy to have a global freak out. So much to do, so little time, and what about all of those 2017 goals? Take a big breath and relax. This is a time of change, but you are in control. Don’t go to the dark side.

Let go of the weeds and the garbage, be committed to goals and not individual people, and take a vow to yourself to see these goals through. You’ll amaze even yourself, and begin to taste what it’s like to be the magical Water Sign Scorpio. That’s not such a terrible thing! What goals are you going to become obsessed about?
