As Mark Twain once said,
“The two most important days in your life are the day you were born, and the day you find out why.”
I vividly remember the day when I answered the question, “what is my purpose?” It was during my studies in Evolutionary Astrology as I dove deep into my birth chart and what is known as the Karmic Axis.
What I found was a deep awareness of self and the desires that lead me towards a purpose. These are the ways in which I feel empowered and the path intended to follow.
The Karmic Axis?
The karmic axis is an archetypal imprint within your birth chart, which includes Pluto and the Lunar Nodes, their rulers and the planetary aspects that interact with these points. The combined elements of the karmic axis provide a roadmap of your past-life history and current life intentions for healing and evolution. It tells the story of where your soul has been (South Node), your current life purpose (Pluto), and ultimately where your soul is going (North Node).
You still have free will that dictates your choices, but ultimately, you have a soul purpose to carry out. Your choices might take you on various routes, but they all lead to one purposeful path. When looking at your birth chart, find your karmic axis by locating the following:
- Pluto in what sign and in what house.
- South Node in what sign and in what house.
- North Node in what sign and in what house.
Pluto & Your Purpose
Pluto represents your soul’s purpose. It is the intentions and deep desires of the soul and also the area in which struggle may occur.
