Your Beginner’s Guide to Using Your Chakra Pendulum
There are a number of ways that we can receive answers from beyond, or just answers in general! Astrology is a powerful divination tool that can show us potentials in a weather forecast through daily horoscopes, weekly horoscopes, and other useful tools. Numerology readings help as well, and so do tools such as the Tarot. Your Daily Tarot can offer you a wealth of symbolism that can help you see ahead into your day, week, month, or even year. But another divination tool that is very handy is the chakra pendulum.
Today we are going to show you how to get answers right now, about questions that you have right now, using this powerful little thing we call the chakra pendulum. Let’s dive in!
What is a Chakra Pendulum?
A chakra pendulum is a pendulum that you use to receive answers through divination. In so doing you work with each of your 7 chakras to align your chakras and lead a fulfilling and enlightened life.
Inside the human body, we have 7 invisible energy wheels we call chakras. Each chakra rules a certain part of our spiritual being.
Here’s a brief breakdown of the chakras.
- Root Chakra – Located at the base of the spine, rules your basic needs like food, shelter, love, the things that make you feel secure at your most basic level. Red in color.
- Sacral Chakra – Located in your pelvis, this rules your sexual needs and desires, fertility, and your little pleasures in life that bring balance and joy. Orange in color.
- Solar Plexus Chakra – Located across your chest, this chakra balances your confidence, self-esteem, and how you feel good in the world. When you feel like you’ve done an amazing job at something, you feel “puffed up” - that’s your solar plexus chakra humming for you. This chakra is yellow in color.
- Heart Chakra – This is located exactly where it sounds, and is green in color to symbolize the blessings of new beginnings and love.
- Throat Chakra – This chakra is located in your throat and is the color blue. It rules your speech, communication skills, deception, and your pathway to truth.
- Third Eye Chakra – This chakra is located between your two eyes on your forehead, and is indigo in color. It rules what you can see into your future.
- Crown Chakra – This chakra is located at the top of the head, is white in color and sometimes violet in color. It is a pure energy that connects you to the Divine Source, whatever that source may be.
You will know when one of these chakras is out of whack. Having a communication problem? Do some work with your throat chakra. Needing some clear sight on a problem? Meditate with your third eye chakra.
There are a number of ways that you can work on your chakras. And using a chakra pendulum is a great way to use a hands-on tool to work with them whenever you want.
A chakra pendulum is a device that almost looks like a piece of jewellery, but is a simple weight on a chain that is aligned for chakra work.
You can use this pendulum in the same way you would use any pendulum. Calibrate it, ask it questions, and wait for the answers. When using it to align your chakras, you can use it over the area in question with meditation. But let’s look at this a little closer.
How to Use a Chakra Pendulum
When you are using a pendulum, especially if you are new to using it and it is not comfortable with you just yet, you want to go through a series of steps to prepare it. After that, using it is very easy.
Follow these steps to become one with your new pendulum, and start feeling those chakra centers humming in no time.
1. Cleanse the pendulum.
Every pendulum has crystals attached to it, and you want those crystals cleansed from all energies before you use it. No matter where you buy it, remember that many hands have touched it, and many energies have passed over it before it found you. There’s nothing wrong with those energies, but you have to clean them so your chakra pendulum can give you your answers. This can be done by cleansing it in salt water overnight, or using sage around the pendulum if you want to have it done in a few minutes. Salt is a natural cleanser and will remove any negative ions from your crystals before use, and sage accomplishes the same goal.
2. Charge your pendulum.
This step is optional, but if you are really expecting to use it a lot, it’s a good idea to charge it after every use. This can be done by putting the pendulum on a windowsill where it will receive either Sunlight or Moonlight the day before you use it. You can keep it up there when not in use, and it will constantly be charged by the light of our luminary bodies.
3. Calibrate your pendulum.
Now you are ready to start using your pendulum for what it is intended. You need to calibrate it first by asking your pendulum what it’s answers are. You will get three possible answers from the pendulum – Yes, No, or Uncertain. Uncertain could be maybe, it could mean it depends on circumstances unknown at this time, it could mean anything. It is uncertain.
Spend a minute or two asking your pendulum the following questions:
- Can you give me a clear answer for NO?
- Can you give me a clear answer for YES?
- Can you give me a clear answer for UNCERTAIN?
Ask these questions as you hold it in front of you and keep your hand still. When you ask the question, your pendulum will move one way or another. For me, the pendulum moves back and forth in a vertical line for yes, back and forth in a horizontal line for no, and it goes in circles for a maybe or uncertain answer. For you, it could be different. This step of calibration speaks to you and your pendulum and is the first step in establishing your relationship.
4. Ask your questions.
Now you are ready to receive divination from your pendulum. You know what a yes answer looks like, a no answer looks like, and what an uncertain answer looks like. If you are getting a lot of uncertain answers, try rephrasing your questions. Be as specific as possible, asking yes or no questions when you can. Don’t be afraid to ask “Should I do this…?” or “Will I be successful if I do that…?” questions. Follow the flow.
5. Follow the flow.
When you are using your pendulum, pay attention to what your body is telling you. Your intuition is talking to you during these sessions. If you feel good with the answers, that is the flow of Universe sending you a message that you are on the right path. If you feel bad, that is a validation in itself. Maybe you are doing this session with your throat chakra for example, and are wondering if somebody is telling you the truth about something or not. Go ahead and ask your pendulum, and listen spiritually to other cues that are happening – does it feel like something was confirmed? Does it feel like you might need more information?
Most successful pendulum sessions end with that feeling of flow. So, if you don’t feel it yet, you may need to do some more work with the pendulum and other tools like your Daily Tarot or Daily Horoscopes to find confirmations of your validations and answers with astrology.
When it comes to using your pendulum, don’t try and get every life answer in one session. Use it as much as you want. Become one with your pendulum and ask it for clarity. Don’t make decisions from it until you have validation and confirmation through facts and information, but you can still use it to guide you and help you align your chakras so that you are on your own right path. These pendulum exercises are about your peace of mind, your sense of overall wellness, and taking care of you. Go in with the right and purest intent for your best and Highest Self, and you can’t go wrong. You’ll wonder what you ever did without it! What chakra do you want to start working on today?
