You’ll often hear the term nymph used when describing nature goddesses. In mythology — particularly Greek or Roman — nymphs were beautiful young ladies who inhabited the forests, streams, and other natural places.
They are believed to be magical creatures, and while there are several different types of nymphs, they are mainly divided into land nymphs (Oreads), water nymphs (Naiads), and tree nymphs (Dryads).
