The final stretch of Sagittarius season has finally rolled around, and it’s time to find out how to ready yourself for the action.

Actually, spoiler alert: this week’s astro weather is a bit tame. In terms of “big news,” the most traditionally dramatic thing you’ll see this week is the Last Quarter Moon in the Earthy sign of Virgo.

This is not really a jarring event, though, as major Capricorn transits already made headway last week (thanks to Mercury and Venus), making the mix of Fire (courtesy of Sagittarius season) and Earth… old news.

Sometimes no news is good news, but the stars aren’t the only thing calling the shots here when it comes to the insight of the Universe. This is why we check in with the Tarot every week to ensure all of our sources are covered, of course. Buckle in!

Your Sign’s Weekly Tarotscope for December 12 – 18, 2022

Aries

Knight of Wands (Reversed)

Look — we all know Aries has the need for speed.

But this week, the Knight of Wands reversed is asking you to slow it down. There’s not a finish line to this race. In fact, there may not even be a race at all!

If you find yourself stressing, rushing, or pushing yourself too hard this week, take a moment to breathe and ask yourself what this is all for. Is it for you or for an unnecessarily placed expectation? And most importantly: is it truly for your greatest good?

Taurus

7 of Swords

Taurus has been wielding their own personal power, but this week tests your application of it.

The 7 of Swords is a card of trickery and mischief. At worst, it can foretell cheating or betrayal — not playing by the rules in a way that gets you ahead but leaves others behind.

You may notice this theme more prominently in your surroundings, whether it’s through media or acquaintances you’re even just casually interacting with. Sometimes it will seem so minor that you’ll think, “it’s nothing.”

However, this card asks that you remain vigilant of others and of your own heart and intentions. Don’t shrug off the “little things” this week that breach your values — listen (and course correct) when something feels wrong.

Gemini

Ace of Cups (Reversed)

Gemini, remember that love is within you too.

Last week, the 8 of Cups indicated many Geminis might need to move away or let go of something (whether an idea, a person, a goal, a piece of you, or something else).

This week, the Ace of Cups reversed reminds you that sometimes filling the “void” starts with you. You are reminded that there is a time and place for external validation, love, and even material goods.

But none is a replacement for the true self-love that must start from within.

Cancer

King of Cups (Reversed)

Cancer is putting in the work — except this work has less to do with career and more to do with the self.

In other words, the King of Cups reversed points to needing some “me time,” as you may be experiencing emotions running high and a strong desire to “do something” with all of these feelings. Still, the overwhelm can make it difficult to actually channel it all properly.

For some, this will not be as dramatic as needing to self-reflect seriously on the meaning of your life and can look more like some intentional journaling sessions to stay honest and aware about your feelings.

However, you know best, and if your heart needs more intensive and contemplative time alone, listen to that call!

Leo

Death (Reversed)

Leo, it’s time for change… even if you don’t feel ready yet.

Death reversed strongly suggests that change is on its way (or already here), but you may be resisting or unsure about what is coming next. It can be hard to let go, surrender a bit of control, and move into the unknown.

However, when Death knocks on the door, it’s not really as scary or “gloom and doom” as we often think. Sometimes, this transformative period can offer new opportunities in the wake of releasing old ideas, expectations, and familiar routines.

You have some time this week to lean into the flow of change (but not infinite time), so take this time to embrace a bit of unknown.

Virgo

7 of Pentacles (Reversed)

Virgo has a perfectionist reputation, and this week it’s got bite.

The 7 of Pentacles reversed indicates that you might be overthinking your next steps to the point of… not even doing anything. At a certain point, a plan is only a plan if you will actually get around to executing it.

Fine-tuning, tweaking, and modifying what you’re going to do next is all fine and well. But remember that this will only matter if your ideas actually see the light of day!

Libra

6 of Pentacles

Libra is known for being the social, likable type, and this week is just one clear reminder as to why.

The 6 of Pentacles foretells that this week might contain a lot of giving. You might find yourself away from the center of attention, yet also in everyone’s business, giving out advice, time, and whatever else you have at your disposal.

‘Tis the season of giving, of course. This week isn’t really about getting rewards from this either — it just seems like you’re letting others that you care about take center stage right now.

Scorpio

2 of Pentacles (Reversed)

Scorpio has been running with an intense energy lately (which is not too off-brand for you anyway).

The 2 of Pentacles reversed indicates that you’re trying to get things back in order, but it’s still not coming together the way you’d like. Especially when it comes to your schedule, work, and material matters, the balance is hard to find right now.

Don’t let this discourage you from continuing to try, but don’t burn yourself out juggling the same issues over and over, either. This will tire you out even more in the long run.

In other words, seek solutions when you have the energy, but don’t create more problems for yourself in the process.

Sagittarius

Queen of Swords

Sagittarius, last week the King of Wands brought you the powers of Fire and confidence.

This week, the Queen of Swords brings you the power of communication, wit, and self-expression. It’s not just the time for experiencing your own sense of adventure and goal-setting but also sharing them with the world.

If you’re ready to seize this powerful energy, this also means speaking your truth even when not prompted, being the person to initiate the conversation, and perhaps even writing or creating work that can get an important message across.

Capricorn

7 of Wands

Capricorn is known for their steadiness and reliability, but little do people know the fighting spirit of the wise goat.

And they’re wrong for estimating you, too, as the 7 of Wands is coming through with a clear example of what a Capricorn does when put to the test.

Now, it may not be fun to face a series of challenges and frustrations this week, but it’s true that you’re more than capable of toppling them all. This week is about perseverance and willpower — not necessarily outsmarting or even outplanning anyone or anything.

Instead, you’re just working with what you’ve got. (And what you’ve got shouldn’t be underestimated).

Aquarius

5 of Wands (Reversed)

Aquarius is the sign of the humanitarian, so conflict is not usually your jam.

The 5 of Wands reversed shows you shielding yourself from the noise of the world, which, this week, seems particularly loud. It’s unclear as to why or how everything and everyone seems to be caught up in so much drama, but one thing is clear: you need to protect your peace.

You could probably resolve a conflict or two if you tried. But this week is about embracing your business… and no one else’s business.

When the week ends and your energy and peace are (more) intact than they would have been otherwise, you’ll be thanking the cards for advising you as such!

Pisces

The Hermit (Reversed)

Pisces have been walking a tricky tightrope with their inner dialogue lately.

The Hermit reversed illuminates this discomfort and potential disconnect, forcing you to reckon with the ideas, knowledge, and inner truths you may have neglected or not wanted to see.

This week is all about diving deep and not somewhere else into an external field of knowledge or teacher’s advice. Instead, it’s about diving within yourself and seeking out — and actually listening to — yourself.

It’s not always comfortable, but it’s necessary!

Don’t Forget…

Even with the insight of the cards and stars, it’s up to you to write your own story.

Whether in your tough times or shining moments, the Tarot can be an insightful tool for better understanding what you’re experiencing (and adding a bit more insight into the mix).

Of course, the cards have the answers… but you are the one who must find them. This powerful tool can only be fully utilized when you yourself are open to unlocking your highest potential.

Collect all of the insight, tools, and knowledge that you can. And then, when you’re ready, ask yourself — what am I ready to do with it?

How will you step into your highest potential this week?
