Aug 21, 2026 - You may find yourself wanting to clock out and daydream and spend the majority of your time floating around, but there is one fly in the ointment currently that is going to get in the way of such plans.
Today marks the annual opposition between pleasure-loving Venus and karmic Saturn, which is always a rather boorish angle when good things are put on ice and we instead have to roll up our sleeves and get serious about the work in front of us.
This year, Venus is in your 12th House of the Subconscious, where she wants to take it easy and don a pair of rose-colored glasses, but Saturn is in your efficient 6th House of Daily Work and Routine, and it isn’t going to put up with you slacking. You may need to hop to it and put in the required effort, but this transit will only last a day, so you can kick back soon enough.
However, as tense as this angle is, the Moon will be stepping into the picture to lend a helping hand and hopefully add a bit of lightness to the cosmic energy, or at least provide you with a way forward that doesn't feel quite so dull.
The Moon is traveling through your luxury-loving 2nd House of Income and Material Possessions, so you could find a way to turn today's transit to your financial advantage, perhaps by ferreting out a new money-making opportuntiy, or, on the other hand, treating yourself to something that lifts your mood.
It's not secret that treating yourself can make you feel better, so if the Venus-Saturn angle really is a bummer, or leaves your worn out, why not indulge in a little retail therapy? It may not always be the right solution, but it can be every once it a while!
